I put buckets from a '91 Suburban in my '87 and did it just like BruthaMan described. I'm 6'6" tall and 265 lbs. and it is tight with the stock non-tilt column and steering wheel. I swapped out the '91 seats for '87 Suburban buckets and it made a big difference. I'm a lot more comfortable now.

Next up is a tilt column and a different steering wheel.
