Building Frank

Hey Guys!

I've been lurking for a month or so now waiting to nail down the last big piece of my project before I started this build thread. Well, I got that piece yesterday so here goes.

I started off calling this build "Project Ol' Smoke." The reason behind that name is my intended use for this truck will be as a tow vehicle for my BBQ trailer. However, as the major parts come together, this truck is more of a Frankenstein's monster than enything else. Hence the name Frank.

Here's what I'm starting with.

'58 short bed frame w/original running gear
'55-2 small window cab and doors
'59 short fleetside bed
'59 GMC tailgate
'57 Chevy grill
'57 left front fender
'55 right front fender
'56 GMC hood
'55 261 six banger
'58 or 9 four speed

The finished truck will be either black or green primered, lowered as far as I can get it w/o altering the bed floor, red artillery wheels w/bullet center caps and lugs, primered grill and bumpers, blanket seet covers, 2 or 3 single barrel crbs on an Offy manifold, Fentons, Offy valve cover... You get the picture. Here's some pics of the building blocks.
