Wish I could see pictures of the frame, could give you a better opinion..

I just did my cab (rockers in&out, pillers & corners) about 2weekends of welding and a few bucks at the sandblasters it came out great and is ready for paint. I got a whole rolling 1968 stepside (no motor/trans) for 500bucks, fenders/rad support were toast. Frame was mint though.

So I would say it is alittle high, yet swb trucks up here no matter the condition seem to be 2-3x the amount of something down south.

I also picked up a 1971 lwb for $1000 in great shape running and being used as my shop truck so they are out there.. if you aren't afraid of some fab work I would almost look for a lwb project and shorten it.. is my plans when I pull the lwb off the road. Plus they are alot cheaper than any swb up here.
