Re: What did you get done 5/23/10 B&D last rodeo edition
Rebuilt the front end on my 87. Had the rotors turned, new calipers, new pads, new outer tie rods, new upper and lower ball joints. Seems it was about 30 trips to O'reillys. I swear I am about to stop using them despite them being next door to my shop. Had a misboxed tie rod (as a left in a right box), misboxed ball joint (was a cheap house brand in a moog box), one of the reman calipers had the bleeder cross threaded (could not even tap it out). Just seemed every time we turned around something was wrong or a new and broken thing. Advanced Auto here we come.
Started stripping down the 'burban I bought for parts. Me and my 7 year old just about got the stuff from the interior I want, just got both front doors to strip down now.
I should have gotten some photos of my 7 year old boy, he used the cordless impact a few times, but it was too heavy. He then wanted to use the 3/8 air impact since it was lighter, used it a few times and all of a sudden "his turn was over, it was my turn", lol. He spent the rest of the time in the bed of my truck removing screws that hold the bedliner in. I am anxious to see what it looks like underneath honestly. The liner has been in the truck since it was new. Under the tailgate protector looks pretty good, only scratches are from little things that worked their way underneath it.
