Your best bet would be to look for a donor vehicle, or you will be scrounging parts forever. There were no TH350s before about 1969, so your donor truck should be in the 69-72 range.
The good news is that your stock driveshaft will work if you have a "short" TH350 (about 27" long). The bad news is that you will have to remove the bellhousing crossmember, and it is likely to be riveted in place.

This is true and is the reason why I don't convert manuals to automatics and vice versa. I know some people think nothing of it, but to me it's too much work. I'll change automatics to different automatics, and the same with manuals, but I'm done with conversions unless absolutely necessary...
