I needed some rims for making a stand for a furnace (We use garbage for stuff you would never imagine...) and to get the tires off, we put a 2x6 on the tire then drove the 3/4 ton up the board, it broke the bead very nicely without wrecking the rim, it was just a matter of prying the tire off after that, took about 10 minutes. The tire had been on that wheel for close to 15 years...
