Re: 72 swb, 454/t400, complete resto
I also forgot to mention that I will be switching to the older 67/68 nose as well. I am going early in the morning to check out the body panels, hopefully I can get a good deal on em'! I ordered a tranny crossmember and motor mount stands last night, as well as an adjustable trac bar. I am trying to figure the cheapest route to go about converting the rear to disc as well. I have only 5k to play with, I will be doing all the work myself, I work at a bodyshop also so paint material should cost next to nothing!! I have almost everything to get started on the motor, and I need to get the airride here to start work on the chassis. There's a few spots that need attention on the frame, the front horns are a little swayed and the rear shock crossmember needs replacing since it's rotted (after all it is a new England truck) I will probably end up making a tubular crossmember anyway.
Thanks, Pat
