I did the repair on my TH350c. It worked fine. I don't know if that applies to your TH350 or not, though.
Before that, I had just sprayed the hole with brake cleaner to clean it up and dabbed some RTV on it with the tip of a screwdriver. That worked, but it had to be replaced once a year or so.
I eventually had to buy a new yoke from a drivetrain shop. They sold me one with no hole, and said they weld up EVERY one they work on.
