My new custom kickpanel speakers

Read the 2 FAQ's said what the heck, it'll probably look better than anything I can buy for 80$. So about 50$ later I made my own kickpanel speaker boxes, and for a 16 year old who's never done any fiberglassing before I think they look good lol.

Used a piece of posterboard for the first mold, then once I got it the way I wanted, I traced it onto a piece of MDF.

Then I cut my speaker mount ring. Then went and bought a dowel.

Then mounted the ring with hot glue and the angled dowel pieces I cut with the band saw.

Then wrapped it in a spare t-shirt my dad hopefully won't need anymore.

Then I glassed the shirt with some Bondo Fiberglass resin, be sure to use the CORRECT amount of hardener, otherwise you end up with a very nice fiberglass ball to play with. I used about 3-4 coats of fiberglass, using fiberglass mat in one layer. Then smoothed it out, and used bondo to round out anything.

Then we have the finished product wrapped in vinyl.
