Edb told me how to fix that...

First remove the handle by removing door panel and removing two nuts holding handle on.

Then make sure you have all the parts:
button with rod, small spring, flat metal plate with hole for rod to go thru. (You may have to feel around in bottom of door to find these. )

The spring goes over the rod, then the flat plate (which is just to keep spring on) goes under the small tabs.
I was able to reuse my tabs when I fixed both doors on my truck.

If you can't reuse tabs: get some very small screws with nuts at any hardware store and a couple of hose clamps. Trim the end with the screw off of the clamps and drill holes in the handle and clamps to use the clamps to hold the plate on.
