Nice work and great idea. Here is the one I have in my 70 with the tank behind it. For the top I used a piece similar to the piece that holds the top of the door panels so there are no visible screws and matches the door. Also it tucks around and under the rubber weather striping for the door so no visible mounting. I also had ribs put in the center section to match the doors. The bowtie was not my idea but kept it anyway. I have the factory buckets and looks factory. You are right about making it in 3 pieces. I tried one but it was too big.
