In what kind of rear end?...I don't know of any factory 1/2 ton like that...

A Detroit Locker or a Gov-Lock for a 14 bolt FF, yes...but you are going to see spider gears in a 1/2 ton "Posi" too, there will be springs between them, but you can still see them.
