Hi John, my thinking was the flatter and thinner the wheel, the more tucked up under the truck it is, giving the appearance it is even more ill fitting, like in this example. I see your point too. I must admit I can't remember ever owning another vehicle of any type where the tires didn't sit in the middle of the wheel well.
