fuel pump advice

i'm looking to replace my fuel pump while i have my front clip off (might as well).
right now i have a standard AC delco pump with two rubber lines and one hard line up to the carb. i want to put an Edelbrock preformer pump on since it puts out a lower psi. this way i won't need a fuel pressure regulator for my edelbrock 1406 carb. butttt....the edelbrock pump has one inlet and one outlet...how can i make this work? thoughts?
