Re: 3 speed overdrive transmission questions?
I believe some did. I think they mostly came in the panel trucks. I talked to one guy and he had one in a early el camino. Its a Saginaw 3 speed with a borg warner overdrive. The overdrive activated by a switch and kicks in automatic. Some guys take the OD unit off and put them on a saginaw 4 speed.
I'm looking for one myself for my 66. I want to keep the 3 on the tree but have a overdrive for the highway.
