hmmm, Well my truck came witha short water pump, on my custom/10 350, with out power steering but...
I had to change to a Long water pump, when i put in power steering, because of the pullies and belts. Chevy and 3 parts places told me that the short water pumps where more common than the long because powersteering was a expencive option at that time.
out of 6 local trucks 71 and 72's in my area they all have long water pumps. i was the only one with a shorty
