i agree with Cdowns on the cam. call tech lines. give them your specs and let them know what you are looking for out of your engine (performance-vs-rpm range). they can also assist you on the intake and carb size for what you are looking for.
carb brand is up to you.
me personally i perfer the edelbrock.
edelbrock - better for cruzen - a little harder to adjust but once it is set it is done.
Holly - better for racing - easyer to adjust out but one backfire and you are off to the store for anotherone.
qjet - if you have someone that is knows them well and is good with them you cant beet em
however if you dont you will be fighting with them contently they are tempermentaly and dont like it at all when someone touches them that dont know what they are doing.
these are all just my opinions though.
