Have you checked the two rubber hoses in the fuel line? There is one under the cab and one at the suction side of the fuel pump. Mine had cracks in them causing the fuel pump to suck air.

Before you replace your fuel pump you should disconnet the suction hose and blow a little air pressure back into the tank to make sure it is not a plugged line. First take the gas cap off before applying air pressure.
