I have a 1968 intake off a 327 on my 350. It has the twist on non-breather oil fill cap & tube and uses a PCV valve and breather on the valve covers.

cdowns is right, PCV makes things stay a lot cleaner. I've seen where some people have added holes to the back ends of those script valve covers for the breather & PCV valve.
