You might be right - the only thing that bothers me is the amount of play in the steering output shaft when the steering wheel is locked, but there's also enough play in the wheels to make me think both sets of upper and lower ball joints might stand a replacement. Not sure about the tie rods. They seem to be ok, but I might as well replace them if I'm going to go through the trouble of replacing the ball joints...

Decisions decisions. I don't want to leave out the steering box if I'm going to have the front-end apart anyway.
