A bolt-in style c-notch will get you low(er) than no notch, but it won't be anywhere close to putting the frame on the ground. How low is "as low as possible w/o doing a complete c-notch"?? 6", 8" rear drop?
If you notch the frame more than half the height of the rail (even @ half the height) there's serious reduction in the strength. Look @ CPP's HD vesrion of their bolt-in notch or consider one of Porterbuilts 'mild' step notches as they would offer the best strength.
