I paid a painter to do mine as a side job, he did the sanding and bodywork at his house and then snuck to his work to use the paint booth at night. He laid down a nice paintjob, but then tried to finish it himself and did it too soon. He messed up the clear and had to reshoot it, etc etc, now I've got a half assed paint job that looks okay from 10 ft away. I paid the guy $1000, that included welding in my steel roll pan and painting the door jambs. Not a bad deal to get me shiny for a while, but I still wish he would have had someone else buff it out. Oh well.
