Should just be three horizontal screws that go forward through the throttle pedal bracket and into the firewall. They are in a triangular pattern, with the two across the top and one across the bottom.

Should be a plastic housing that the throttle pedal shaft lays in, then a steel plate across the top that retains it. I don't recall that there is any difference between gas and diesel.
