Re: SD Wishbone
Mac72 is right, I am only limited on lift by the shocks. It will actually get the truck as high as factory leafs w/ overload with longer shocks. But the KYBs that come with it are great (and what I run). Plenty of clearance when aired all the way up. I think it is a very well engineered setup. The ride is very nice.
The welds on these kits are amazing and the fit is great. Pinion angle is easy to set and adjustable with the threaded ends.
Install was straightforward. Didn't need much more than a welder (for the notches), magnetic angle finder, grinder, drill (get a GOOD 1/2" bit as there are quite a few holes), sawzall or cutoff and basic hand tools (I wouldn't wanna do it without air tools but you could). Really the most time consuming thing was removing all the factory rivets.
One thing to keep in mind is that SD seems to make them as they go. You don't order and see it in a couple days. I was on a time crunch to get mine and they worked with me but these things are made to order. When I called about it they knew what stage it was in and each part was marked with my order # when I received it. Took about a month but good things come to those who wait!
