I prefer abrasive media blasting. Of course I'm lucky in that I have a friend that does that for a living. But it is still the best way to strip paint and remove rust IMO. The chemical remover will take the bulk of the paint, and you can then sand the rest off. It sometimes takes 2 or 3 applications of the remover to get all the paint off. The heat from the sun will help too. And wear some good rubber gloves too. Like GGinferno said...it burns like a sum-b.
