Th400 is 6 bolt but the pattern is smaller than the 4L60E. You can't really get around using the AA kit. There is a special adapter that goes from the 4L60E 6 bolt down to the 4 bolt that has a spot to screw the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) into it and includes a reluctor ring that clamps to the tail shaft. Then, since the shaft is longer they include a 1 and 1/2" 4 bolt spacer that also goes after this adapter, so it ends up being a crazy 3 adapter setup when you include the one on the T-case. I was going to put a 205 behind my 4L65E and this is what I had to do.
