I mentioned Edelbrock IAS because they adjust to the driving condition - at least that is their sales pitch. I imagine there are other shocks now that can do the same thing in a differnt way. Actually, a too smooth ride shock can give you a bouncy ride because they react to every bump in the road. Also, I have found that a tight front end helps the ride. If I were you, I would crawl under the front end and see how it looks. I have a big front swaybar in my 3/4 ton that had shot rubber bushings, and when I replaced them it improved the handling but also the ride (less bouncing/shimmy.) I have owned 1/2 tons and 3/4 tons and prefer the ride in the 3/4 tons, specifically because they don't bounce as much, especially on washboard roads. The bouncing, even if slight, gets to my lower back after a short time.
