That makes sense for the truck (except for the Cheyenne badges) as it has the cigar lighter, door activated dome light, and brightwork for vent windows and rear window (windshield must have been replaced using plain seal). The headlight and wiper knobs are MIA. It also has the DELUXE style marker lamps and DELUXE badges.

Maybe the Cheyenne badges were added by someone or it was an option in '71,...but not in '72 (as per thread). I'll have to look into that one.......

If it is not a Cheyenne I do not want put the Cheyenne 10 badges back on it...but instead round up the correct ones for it. Maybe this truck is a Custom Deluxe.....hmmmmm.....

I wonder if when a Cheyenne was ordered if it says "cheyenne" on the glovebox sticker...or something to denote that the truck is indeed a Cheyenne?

Can you tell me where to look on the axle tube for the prefix code?
