You have to get the engine AND tranny high enough to clear the core support. Most cherry pickers won't lift one that high, plus you're talking about something over 1000lbs.
Pull the 6 tranny bolts and unbolt the torque converter, use a floor jack or blocks to support the tranny, then lift the engine squarely out. Jack the truck up under the front crossmember and you'll get enough ground clearance to slide the tranny out.
