Re: blazer tank in a p/u

The top of the bed side is still stock, other then I removed the stake pocket and with the new filler, it is much larger then the stake pocket, so I cut the filler housing down to fill the retangular hole.

here is some more info in this link

So, other things you will need to do this are:
1. fuel filler hose (from any parts hose, this is not little fuel line, this is the hose for filling Gas tanks.
2. a section of steel tubing or SS tubing bent into a 90 degree from any muffler shop.
3. the Gas fill assembly that you can get for motorcycles or boats (Hint, boat shops have these for around $50).

The only other real mods is to remove the pocket of the stake pocket (hammer and chisel to knock out spotweld, and then at the bottom of the pocket, you will need to cut some clearance for the 90 degee pipe to fit in.

Yea, its pretty fun when people that see it, ask why only 1 tie down on your bed? uhm, that is my gas fill. It is funny to see when I am filling it up. standing at the back of the bed the the gas hose. No one has really said anything to me other then the doubletakes. I am sure that if my wife was seen filling the truck, some guys would call her a dumbblonde not knowing that she really is filling up the gas tank.
