I used Hersch Automotive paint on my block but I wouldn't use it again. It's pretty tough to work with and takes several coats to cover. Running and pooling were problems. It costs like 12 clams a can. It did turn out OK in the end. Time will tell how it holds up. I Found out today it does not hold up to anti-freeze and dis-colored where some spots had sat.
If I had to do it again I'd try Eastwood's product. I used their Semi-gloss black under-hood paint and it gave a very nice finish on my black accessory parts.
