Sorry about the finger.... I remembered the 'Thumbmaster' from the days of drinking games @ my bachelor pad.
Not much to those c-sections considering they're for a 1-ton. It looks about the same material thickness as the ones I installed on my 74. That's been my concern especially after things learned in the 'other' c-notch thread concerning strength vs. intended usage. They also have the angled notch v. a round notch which analysis suggests the corners can be a weak spot (analyzing & real world are two different things, but if the data suggests a weak spot, my preference is to figure out a way to eliminate it).
The 'other' c-notch thread concerning strength vs. intended usage. Post #56 has the home-made notch I did which resembles the WC notch.... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ght=pipe+notch
Looks like I'll be 'engineering' some frame channel reinforcements while installing the flip-kit. My goal was to achieve a 4/6 or 5/7 drop w/o negating the strength. I wanted the same thing I had w/my 74 (no cutting the bed floor).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....
Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
