for all of you who have to deal with the pump shutting off every sec., i'd consider my self lucky, in my case the gas doesn't shut the pump down and it gushes gas at me. Seems to me the tank is not venting right, besides the filler tube what else could i check.

Fuel inlet hose or fuel vent..... both are related.
