It's mostly about logic. You make you post in the place it belongs. Some questions may apply to more than one place. In that case, take your best guess and if it seems like it may be better somewhere else, just PM a moderator or simply hit the "report post" icon and ask to have it moved. Don't make a new post in the second place. The report post button is a little red and white triangle below your user-name in every post.
