thats 1200w into what 4/2/1 ohm?
into a 4 ohm load and clean power is alot less..
but non the less..
a sealed box will be a tighter bass
a ported box will boom more
a band pass is all boom and a very big box..
if you're only in it for the boom
I'd get a 12" and build a ported box..
will that sony explode run bridged in mono??
if not either get 2 subs or one dual voice coil sub..
I doubt you'll be happy with that sony amp, running a sub..

the tightest box will be a sealed box.. but they take more power per db level..
for what you want .. rab boom boom boom and don't care about the sound. a ported box is your best bet..
