I am surprised you got that far, seems like every old car I buy in GA is 3-4 owners away from the registered owner and comes with 3 different bills of sale. People trade cars a lot, I tried to buy back my first truck a few months back (1995 z71) but the previous owner sold it and that was that. My dad had an old 1984 k10 that is long gone as well that I would love to have back. I am too lazy and too cheap though. In the end its just metal and rubber.
