I’m curious, did you use flat black or satin black? When I painted my truck gloss black lacquer years ago, the original GMC hood was too beat up to paint shiny so I did it with Rustoleum flat. I looked exactly the same several years later when I gave it to a collector. If I hadn’t found Blitz Black locally, I would have done mine in Rustoleum as well.
