Thanks for the response guys, I totally forgot I made this post after giving up in frustration last weekend.
I thought I had found the oil sender on the driver side of my block near the front, in between the exhaust manifold. Going by the book I had that was supposed to be the location. Once I started to remove that sending unit, water started seeping from around the threads. So I thought to myself 'self, this sure as hell isn't it, better put it back cause you're letting the magic out'
