I agree with Ray. At the time I did mine, Bow Tie Overdrives was installing the Advance Adapters shaft at their shop. I think I paid around $139.00 for the shaft plus an install charge. No adapter necessary.

The 1.75" forward is a plus IMO, it gives you more room at the firewall for an HEI ignition, and just makes under the hood work easier.
