I noticed you were local to me No Regretz. I think you should just keep your 2WD. What your getting into with the 4x4 is a basket case... and you won't fully know what you will be getting till it's together.. I drove my 79 Ford f-150 2WD for years around here... including Ice storm in 97'... Just put some heavy weight in the back, carry a shovel, buy some Knarley tall skinny tires for the back and if ya want a lil more security, buy a set of chains. I grew up out where the snow issues were worse and drove that Ford all over the place and we did just fine. Just avoid the south hill if possible. If you are set on a 4x4,, winter is almost over,, buy the extra truck and keep your eyes out for the parts to fix it this summer. I feel you would be better off going that direction, plus you will not have down time for your tranportation.
