We get very little snow, well, until the last month or so. LOL. When it does snow they do spread salt and sand. This has been a weird month, snow, and extended periods of really cold temps, 30's in the daytime. I can hear our midwestern and Canadian friends laughing as they read this.
The summers are hot and humid, but you'll be minutes from the ocean to cool off.
I'm not an expert on the Norfolk/Va Beach area but PM me if you have any questions and I'll try to help. I'm assuming you are Navy, I have a friend (another car guy) that is stationed in Norfolk that I could hit up with questions as well.
I'm fairly certain the military requires a Va Vehicle Inspection in order to get a base decal. Passing inspection can be a PIA with what we all do to our cars/trucks. Just PM me when the time comes.
