I had a glass expert guy show me how to install mine, what he did lubbed the seal with ATF and started by putting the top of the windsheild in first and working around each side until reaching the bottom. There was quite a bit of pounding on the glass and seam with fists on the outside while pulling it in with the cord on the inside. Hope that helps.
