Do you already have disc brakes on the front? All dropped spindles out there require disc brakes so you have to add that into the total cost. As for the drop, there are 2", 2.5" and 3" ones depending on what disc brakes you have (1" rotors or 1.25" rotors).

My '65 had 3" dropped springs (Ground Force) and I had almost no travel so it bottomed out the arms all the time. Pulled them out and put 2" dropped spindles and cut a set of stock springs 3/4 of a coil. It came out to the same 3" drop but rode WAY better and I don't bottom the arms out anymore.
