I hate to say it but moving down to a 305/307 is not going to give you better fuel economy.
Thats what I was thinking too. Doubt I'll go to the expense of diesel conversion. My 90 efi 350 1500 700r4 sucks on gas milage. I should have just started with an s10 but it'll be fun...
