Has anyone ever come across an insert or modification that would allow most of the modern gas pump nozzles to rest during filling. Around here it seems that many of the stations have a nozzle which must be held during filling to keep it from falling out.

Thanks!
Welcome to the site!

The way I read your question.....................You're looking for something to keep the nozzle from falling out of the filler neck, correct? The older necks were for the leaded fuel from days past. When cars/trucks were required to run lead-free fuel the necks were changed to keep leaded nozzles from fitting.

You could try and round up a neck from a later model truck.

BTW.....Trivia question......What brand fuel was the first to be lead-free? Hint, the brand has always been lead-free since 1915.
