I havent jumped on the LS wagon yet, but lookin hard! over the past 25 yrs, I have run a 425 Cad, a mildly hopped 461 Olds, a 355 chev, & finally a 383 Chev in the old longhorn. If you are into BB power, I would say go for it....there is no substitute for cubes, unless its MORE cubes That big bad Olds ran like stink in my old truck, but was not one bit easy on fuel! In this spot in my life, I am looking for a little more fuel friendly cruiser, that is fun to drive. Idle like a stocker, & go like he!! with a 6spd box & 3.73 gears Its your baby, you should do what makes you feel right about it....crazyL
