Other than the better heat excavation it looks metal. That's about it really. Its all about keepin the temp down under the hood. Helps for intake as well. (Air temp) I've tried coating my headers before and did not get good results. So maybe some high temp paint as well as wrap will work. Ceramic headers would be nice but those are out of my budget at the moment...
