Re: Shock relocate on 2/4 drop

It's hard to answer 100% accurately since a 2/4 drop is possibly different from truck to truck (2/4 drop from stock, from where it was, etc...). The best way to know is to do some basic measuring & determine what your needs are. Take some measurements of shock length (eye to eye) @ ride height. Then remove them, measuring for fully compressed, & fully extended heights.

You'll get pretty decent ride quality & shock travel w/about 2-2.5" minimum travel up/down. Compare your ride height shock dimension w/the 2" min need & see what the tape measure says.

Example: Lets say the hypothetical truck has....
Front shock length @ ride height = 13"
Front shock fully extended = 17"
Front shock fully compressed = 10"

13" + 2" = 15" for decent expansion w/o over extending & it's less than the max @ 17".

13" - 2.5" = 10.5" for decent compression w/o bottoming & there's still .500" before the shock bottoms out.

With something like this, there's no need for relocating mounts or 'custom' drop shocks. The rear would be done in the same fashion.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
