The spring is too short to allow for decent travel. Adding the right shock helps some, but not enough. My experience has been that a 3" drop spring is just not a good choice.
Are you saying that for old guys that care about ride quality it's too stiff, or it's so stiff it can break other parts if you hit a pot hole?
