Yeah, what he said. The wider front helps with stability and straightness. Ever see those 3-wheeled street cars? They have 2 wheels up front and one in the back. That's a very exaggerated case of the front being wider than the rear, but it works. Ever see those old 70's cars with stock size front tyres and super wide rears? They also didn't handle as well. Not to mention that they jacked 'em way up in the rear, reducing caster up front!
